A series of documents uncovered by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, an organization representing 170,000 doctors, would demonstrate that at least twelve macaques, the type of primates used by Neuralink, have instead died due to complications from the implants, rather than natural causes. “The complications,” as Wired reports, which broke the news first, “include bloody diarrhea, partial paralysis, and cerebral edema, a condition commonly known as ‘brain swelling.’
